Earlier this afternoon, wee Nathan asked me to help him build a Lego City set that he got the other day for his 5th birthday.
When Nathan opened the box, there was 3 numbered bags of Lego’s inside, along with 2 instruction books and 1 sheet of labels. Once we opened the bag, we set up a system that would be easy to find the particular pieces of Lego’s for building the kit. The instructions made it easier to build by including a step by step guide. It certainly wasn’t that easy when I was a bairn!Of course Nathan started to get board with the whole thing, so I quickly had to find something for him to do. Once I gave him the wheels and the wee Lego people to build, he soon got his enthusiasm back.I ended up building it myself and I actually enjoyed doing it. Even though I had a few ‘challenges’ doing it. These challenges included me having; ‘the shakes’ (a side effect from medications), ‘burning up’, and a ‘pain flare up’.I found when I was building this kit that it was very ‘therapeutic’ and that it was also ‘relaxing’ and really good for my ‘concentration’ and ‘patience’. Myself and Nathan have both got Lego kits that still have to be opened and then built. So I’m looking forward to doing them with Nathan. I suppose I should look at getting something more tricker like the Lego ‘Bat mobile’ kit or the Lego ‘Star Wars Death Star’I hope that you are having a great weekend and thank you for your continued support, I really do appreciate it.
Best Wishes
Kevin
